About the Role

Landscape Maintenance Professionals, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial landscaping team, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of maintenance accounts, acting as the main point of contact between our company and clients, and ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Oversee a portfolio of maintenance accounts, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality service and support.
  • Client Communication: Act as the main point of contact between our company and clients, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Project Management: Plan, schedule, and implement various projects to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within the contract's scope of work and within the set budget.
  • Proposal Development: Generate own proposal ideas on various accounts and work with the Enhancement Manager to put them into proposals.
  • Crew Supervision: Work with field supervisors and crew members to provide clear expectations to production to ensure curb appeal, client expectations are met, and the highest level of quality is maintained.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot with related project managers to identify and correct disease/pest issues, invasive/undesirable plant species, turf, fertilization, irrigation management, and general plant decline.
  • Profitability: Ensure that jobs are bid, performed, and billed to be profitable.
  • Safety Inspections: Conduct safety inspections of crews when in the field to ensure company procedures and protocols are followed.
  • Subcontractor Management: Establish relationships with reputable, reliable, and dependable subcontractors to provide work unable to be completed in-house.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Computer Software: Proficient with computer software programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Communication and Relationship-Building: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Multi-Tasking: Multi-task efficiency.
  • Time Management: Able to meet constantly changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative Thinking: Utilizes creative, innovative thinking to design and forecast.
  • Contract Compliance: Is familiar with contracts and specifications to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws.
  • Horticultural Knowledge: Possesses thorough horticultural knowledge and experience.
  • Customer Service: Customer service experience (able to identify and resolve customer concerns).
  • Prioritization and Time Management: Ability to prioritize job duties and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Work Ethic: Strong work ethic.
  • Driver's License: Must have a Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Physical Demands: Works outdoors in all types of weather wearing proper PPE at all times.
  • Bilingual: Bi-lingual welcomed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Leadership: Able to develop employee and client relationships with a hands-on approach.
  • Professionalism: Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven leadership abilities with an organized and structured approach to crew supervision.
  • Education: Prefer Bachelor's degree in Ag Business, Horticulture, Ag Science, Landscape Maintenance, Agronomy, Floriculture, Forestry, Plant and Soil Science, Environmental Design, Turf Grass, or Landscape Architecture.
  • Bilingual: Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
