Job Title: Behavioral Health Specialist

About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Interior Community Health Center. As a key member of our primary care team, you will provide behavioral health services to an ethnically diverse patient population across the lifespan.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Clinical Psychology, Masters in Social Work, Counseling, Education, and/or related field, and licensure in State of Alaska as Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Counselor. You will be responsible for providing risk assessments of behavioral health conditions, consulting with primary care providers, and leading individual behavioral health and health promotion interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide behavioral health services to an ethnically diverse patient population across the lifespan.
  2. Conduct risk assessments of behavioral health conditions and brief interventions.
  3. Consult with primary care providers to improve patient functioning and health status.
  4. Lead individual behavioral health and health promotion interventions.
  5. Coordinate care with center and community providers.

Requirements:

A valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance are required for travel within the Fairbanks North Star Borough and Denali Borough. Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and strong analytical skills are essential for this role.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
