Veterans Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterans Support Specialist to join our team at Alaska Behavioral Health.
This full-time position is based in Fairbanks, Alaska and offers a competitive salary range of $56,104 to $72,607 per year.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, leadership capacity, and the ability to foster a supportive and flexible environment.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package including two healthcare options, 401k with immediate vesting and up to 5% match, and 5 weeks of PTO for the first year.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive case management to veterans and their families seeking mental health services.
- Interview clients to assess their needs and provide appropriate referrals.
- Maintain confidential case records and consult with service providers on resource-related issues.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to perform risk management and crisis intervention services as necessary.
- Develop a network of trusted contacts within organizations to refer and coordinate care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and follow up procedures to ensure clients received the services they were referred to.
- Assist clients in navigating service providers across multiple systems of care.
