About the Role

Alaska Behavioral Health is seeking a skilled Mental Health Treatment Specialist to join our Residential Team in Anchorage and Fairbanks. As a Clinical Associate I, II, or III, you will play a crucial role in providing mental health residential treatment for adults with acute mental health needs.

What You'll Do

  • Engage individuals in their community, addressing barriers to housing and improving social welfare and healthcare access/outcomes.
  • Provide case management support, connecting clients to community resources and actively building skills to address functional impairments.
  • Assist clients in meeting project goals, including daily routine skills building, housing applications, employment/social welfare, healthcare, and referrals to needed treatment or community resources.

Requirements

  • Clinical Associate I: High school diploma or GED; one year's experience working in healthcare, home health, or mental health service settings with an adult population who has experienced severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Clinical Associate II: High school diploma or GED (Associate degree applicants encouraged); two years of case management experience working with mentally ill adults in relevant settings such as alcohol, drug, developmental disability, physical rehabilitation, etc.
  • Clinical Associate III: Bachelor's degree in a human-services field such as social work, psychology, etc.; five years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Clinical Associate I: $19.23 - $24.89/hour; Full-Time, Non-Exempt position based in Anchorage, Alaska.
  • Clinical Associate II: $21.00 - $27.18/hour; Full-Time, Non-Exempt position based in Fairbanks, Alaska.
  • Clinical Associate III: $22.78 - $29.47/hour; Full-Time, Non-Exempt position based in Anchorage, Alaska.
