Role Overview

As the Lead Social Media Strategist, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations and promotional activities across our extensive social media platforms. With a following that spans millions, your role will be pivotal in driving audience engagement and growth. You will collaborate with various departments to implement strategic campaigns and projects that resonate with our audience while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Ensure alignment of campaigns, content, and daily tasks with audience development objectives, adapting to changing priorities.
  • Oversee and mentor social media team members, enhancing their skills and fostering professional growth.
  • Develop a strategic social media calendar to ensure effective content distribution across all channels.
  • Lead the creation of regional content and guide creative direction, working with internal and external teams to optimize performance based on audience insights.
  • Act as the primary contact for social media agencies, ensuring brand consistency and quality in campaign execution.
  • Contribute to the development of a go-to-market social media strategy for new initiatives in English-speaking markets.
  • Manage upper-funnel paid social media campaigns, focusing on budget management and optimization.
  • Facilitate communication between marketing, brand management, and content operations to ensure impactful content launches.
  • Utilize analytics to track social media metrics, providing insights to refine strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed on social media trends, emerging platforms, and content types relevant to our community.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Global Social Media.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who possess:
  • 5+ years of experience in social media within the entertainment or media sectors.
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team of 5 or more.
  • A proven track record of executing successful social media campaigns for global brands.
  • Expertise in major social media platforms and best practices for content adaptation.
  • Experience in managing collaborations with social media marketing agencies.
  • Proficiency in implementing paid social media campaigns, including budget oversight and planning.
  • Strong analytical skills to drive growth and content strategy development.
  • Ability to adhere to brand guidelines meticulously.
  • A deep understanding of internet culture and content trends.
  • Familiarity with fandom communities, particularly in the entertainment sector.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in E-commerce social media management.
