Key Responsibilities:

The Radiation Therapist plays a crucial role in executing safe and effective patient simulations and administering ionizing radiation as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. This position emphasizes exceptional service delivery and is integral to the multidisciplinary team dedicated to oncology patient care.

Value Added to the Team:

  • Administers radiation treatments as directed by the Radiation Oncologist.
  • Educates patients throughout their treatment journey.
  • Ensures patient immobilization when necessary.
  • Implements safety measures in line with established protocols.
  • Calculates treatment durations to optimize patient flow while accommodating individual schedules.

Qualifications -

Essential Skills and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy program.

· Valid Florida Radiation Therapist license is mandatory.

· Registered Radiation Therapist or registry-eligible (ARRT), with examination completed within 30 days.

· BLS certification is required.
