Position Overview:

The Radiation Therapist plays a crucial role in delivering safe and effective patient simulations and administering ionizing radiation as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. This position is integral to the comprehensive care of oncology patients, promoting service excellence at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients and administer radiation treatments as per the Radiation Oncologist's directives.
  • Provide continuous education to patients from their initial simulation through the conclusion of their treatment.
  • Ensure patient immobilization when necessary.
  • Implement safety measures in accordance with established standards.
  • Calculate treatment durations to optimize patient flow while accommodating individual schedules.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate from an AMA accredited Radiation Therapy program.
  • Current Florida Radiation Therapist license.
  • Registered Radiation Therapist or registry eligible (ARRT), with examination completed within 30 days.
  • BLS certification.
