Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tool Maintenance Technician to join our team at Oil States International. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on oil and gas equipment, including tools and supporting equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment, checking operating conditions and logging repair needs.
  • Perform maintenance jobs as required, as well as preventative maintenance.
  • Assist assigned mechanics as needed and provide support for equipment testing and certification.
  • Rebuild broken equipment and replace parts in accordance with specifications.
  • Assemble and disassemble universal tools.
  • Maintain required and related records as necessary.
  • Track and record equipment test results.
  • Complete work orders, list materials issued and used, and submit paperwork with appropriate personnel.
  • Perform basic inventory and preparation of tools and equipment.
  • Replace expendable parts, gaskets, seals, lines, fittings, etc.
  • Deliver and pick up equipment from vendors or job sites.
  • Test or refit equipment off the shelf.
  • Pressure wash equipment with a high temperature/high pressure washer.
  • Paint (or remove paint from) equipment within the confines of a paint booth equipped with an exhaust fan and respirator.
  • Maintain paint booth.
  • Load and unload freight.
  • Assist on well site locations as needed/required.
  • Pressure test equipment in a controlled environment from behind a blast wall; subsequently complete documentation of pressure test or certification of equipment.
  • Operate heavy equipment, including a forklift, overhead crane, and break-out vise.
  • Operate powered and standard hand tools (grinding equipment, buffing threads, etc.).
  • Recognize problems while cleaning and dressing tools and report to supervisor for corrective action.
  • Keep shop and equipment clean and organized by performing basic housekeeping and maintenance duties.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 3-6 months related experience or training in the oil and gas industry preferred
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Must be able to read and write English
