Job Overview:

A Polysomnography Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the Polysomnographic Technologist by conducting comprehensive sleep studies and analyses under their direct supervision. This position is essential for delivering high-quality patient care in sleep medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

As a vital member of the healthcare team, the technician will:

  • Contribute to achieving departmental goals and objectives.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to customer service, aiming for positive feedback in patient satisfaction surveys.
  • Gather and analyze patient data to address individual needs, including physical and psychological aspects.
  • Prepare and calibrate necessary equipment for sleep testing, ensuring proper maintenance and functionality.
  • Apply electrodes and sensors following established protocols.
  • Conduct physiological calibrations to guarantee accurate signal collection and make adjustments as needed.
  • Assist in positive airway pressure (PAP) titration studies and mask fittings according to industry standards.
  • Document observations related to sleep stages and clinical events in accordance with procedural guidelines.
  • Support qualified staff in implementing interventions that ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providing education on medical equipment usage.

Maintain awareness of resource utilization to optimize departmental efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:
