Job Summary:

As a key member of the Albany Area Primary Health Care team, the Human Resource Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the organization's benefit and personnel programs. Reporting directly to the CEO, this dynamic individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering employment, recruitment, placement, and transfer programs that meet the needs of the organization while ensuring compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative action laws and guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Benefits Administration: Develops and implements compensation and fringe benefit programs, negotiates insurance contracts, and communicates changes to employees.
  • HRIS Management: Administers the Human Resource Information System, identifies additional informational needs, and develops programs to provide relevant data.
  • Persoanl Functions: Oversees recruitment, interviewing, selection, and training of new employees, as well as employee counseling and exit procedures.
  • Wage and Salary Administration: Supervises all wage and salary administration activities, including annual performance reviews and salary changes.
  • Physician/Executive Support: Conducts executive and physician searches, works with the COO to develop financial planning programs, and provides advice on fringe benefits.
Qualifications:

A bachelor's or master's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is required, along with three years of demonstrated management and/or supervisory skills. Experience may be considered in lieu of education. Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local laws governing human resource-related programs are essential.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, ability to establish effective working relationships, and high initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills to achieve organizational objectives.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer an estimated salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. A comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
