Description

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing support for a variety of Human Resources administrative functions, with primary focus on providing support to benefits related functions, ensuring regulatory compliance in all aspects of work. You'll report to the Director of Human Resources and will be onsite at our Albany location. This role could be part-time or full-time

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure that human resources files and employment records are accurate, organized and up-to-date, as well as filed and maintained in accordance with legal requirements, NRFS policies and procedures
  • Work with program leadership to create or update job descriptions.
  • Assist with planning and managing all aspects of the Annual Benefits Enrollment process
  • Assist with the planning and managing of all Benefit communications, such as creating and updating annual benefit brochures, maintaining the benefits information accessible to all employees.
  • Develop and streamline processes to reduce manual intervention and maximize efficiency. Manage the benefits enrollment process. Update/confirm plans and rates and ensure benefits admin system(s) accurately reflect plan information
  • Partner with Onboarding throughout the recruiting and onboarding processes, including interviewing, creation of onboarding guides, and first day set up for volunteers and interns in the agency
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum of High School Diploma with 4 years of experience or; Associates degree with 2 years' experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are required
  • Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workflow
  • Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, prioritize among competing needs and respond quickly to requests for information
  • Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data
