Position Overview

Frontwave Arena is looking for dedicated Event Production Assistants to support our production team during show days at our indoor entertainment venue. The primary role involves aiding the production department and assisting visiting guests to ensure smooth operations. This role requires close collaboration with production and touring managers to fulfill various production needs. The position is entirely on-site and involves a considerable amount of driving.

Work Environment & Schedule

Location: Oceanside, California

This is a part-time, hourly role with variable hours based on operational requirements. Evening and weekend shifts will be necessary depending on events.

Compensation

Hourly wage ranges from $20 to $22.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit a professional demeanor when interacting with venue staff and touring personnel.
  • Transport and deliver equipment, supplies, and materials to and from the venue as required, including local vendors and other locations.
  • Execute purchases for the event as directed by venue or touring staff.
  • Manage cash and receipts throughout the day, ensuring accurate balancing at the end of the shift.
  • Provide local area insights and information to touring personnel.
  • Facilitate transportation for staff during the event, utilizing either personal or company vehicles.
  • Assist with backstage production tasks as needed, including signage creation, inventory management, and other various duties.

Reporting Structure

This role reports directly to the Production Manager.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a background check and a clean driving record (minimum of 3 years).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and execute tasks promptly and efficiently.
  • Must be at least 25 years old and possess a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a working cell phone, and reliable transportation.
  • May need to operate a rented or company vehicle, adhering to state regulations.
  • Familiarity with the local area and prior experience in live event production is advantageous.
  • Availability for scheduled events, including extended shifts on nights and weekends.
  • Exemplary driving habits and the ability to collaborate effectively with others are essential.
