Position Summary:
The role of the Player Engagement Manager is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our leadership position within the elite player community at both the PGA Section and National levels across the United States.
This is defined by the objective of securing at least 50% representation of FPL Ambassadors at the National PPC and selected PGA Sections.
This position entails managing the roster, cultivating relationships, providing fitting services, and ensuring equipment support for all group members.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and compile a list of high-profile playing Club Professionals with insights from the field sales team and analysis of significant PGA Section and National competitive event outcomes.
The number of participants in this program will vary based on business requirements and overall program performance.
2. Oversee all facets of the Players Division, including talent recruitment, relationship building, delivering fitting experiences, addressing equipment needs, coordinating player experiences at our facilities, representing the company at major Club Professional competitive events (PPC), and organizing our support presence at these events nationwide.
3. Manage all player contracts for program participants.
4. Communicate program strategies, guidelines, and updates to the US Sales Team regarding eligibility criteria, player activities, fitting experience timelines, and product distribution.
5. Be a product expert and proficient fitter, personally custom fitting and overseeing the golf club set composition for all program participants.
The fitting process will involve a combination of field visits to players and hosting them at designated performance facilities.
6. Address any special product requests or build specifications from players as necessary.
7. Collaborate with the Leadership Team to ensure proper support for Players Division members qualifying for Tour events and Major championships.
8. Manage the program budget, including all equipment expenses for players, travel costs associated with the program, event support needs, and performance bonuses for player contracts.
9. Coordinate travel, meals, and hosting visits to our facilities to support Players Division members.
10. Lead the company’s representation at National events, such as the Club Professional Championship (PPC), ensuring adequate player support services are available onsite for a successful event.
11. Occasionally host and conduct fitting training events for fitting specialists and sales associates.
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of club fitting experience and 3 years of player promotion experience is essential.
• Proven ability to effectively manage player relations while achieving strategic company objectives within financial constraints.
• Demonstrated capability to establish credibility in golf club equipment and fitting within a skilled player community.
• Proven experience in managing strategic programs, coordinating activities among multiple associates, and providing clear direction and objectives to program participants.
