Job Summary

We are seeking an Environmental Safety Specialist to join our team at Vectrus. As a subject matter expert on environmental compliance issues, you will be responsible for drafting policy statements, standard operating procedures, and other communications regarding current and future environmental regulations affecting the Government.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and/or review applicable environmental compliance and management plans
  • Provide technical environmental regulatory assistance and guidance to facilitate environmental compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Conduct environmental compliance inspections/audits/evaluations as directed by the Government to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Presidential Executive Orders
  • Update and monitor environmental regulatory permits held by the Government
  • Develop and conduct environmental compliance training for Government employees and contractors
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in science or engineering
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain an International Driver's License
  • Current, adjudicated, and active TS/SCI security clearance with Poly
  • Five (5) years' of related experience
  • Nationally recognized environmental credential desired
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to analyze, prioritize, and problem solve effectively
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Knowledge of sound program management techniques
Work Environment

This position requires travel to and through various CONUS and OCONUS locations, often to remote, austere, and non-permissive environments. The successful candidate must be able to work in an operationally-sensitive environment and perform tasks outside during any weather condition for long periods of time.
