Job Summary:

Harkcon, Inc. is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to provide high-level administrative support to government personnel within the Department of Energy (DOE) / National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) program office.

Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare Briefing Materials: Develop reports and analytical tools including side-by-side comparisons and summary documents.
  2. Schedule Meetings and Conferences: Ensure necessary planning and pre-briefs take place for significant events.
  3. Manage Calendars: Keep senior management program officials informed of relevant organizational issues and receive/direct phone calls.
  4. Coordinate Travel: Process foreign/domestic travel.
  5. Handle Correspondence: Prepare outgoing correspondence, process, track, handle controlled/unclassified correspondence/documents, and provide records management/archival support.
  6. Mail Handling: Receive and pick up mail from various locations, sort, and distribute mail.
  7. Reporting and Inventory: Maintain and submit monthly reports pertaining to office equipment and participate in annual inventory of property.
  8. General Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative tasks including data entry and escort/parking coordination for visitors.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related experience or HS Diploma and 9 years of experience can substitute for BA/BS+5.
  • Prior or current DOE administrative experience is a plus.

Clearance and Location:

  • Active L Clearance (Secret accepted) and initially on site 5 days per week at DOE / Forrestal Building and hybrid work setup once up to speed.

Salary Range: Estimated salary range is $80,000 - $110,000 per year based on experience and location.
