  • Conducting thorough reviews of documentation and refund requests, engaging with payers to clarify any necessary details, correcting transaction errors, and executing refund processes efficiently.
  • Analyzing daily credit balance reports, managing insurance refunds, retrieving Explanation of Benefits (EOB), and ensuring compliance with contract terms while applying necessary adjustments or transactions to resolve credits.
  • Timely preparation and submission of refund dispute letters to relevant payers.
  • Accurately summarizing and documenting expected reimbursements along with all payment and adjustment transactions.
  • Meticulously documenting all actions taken on accounts within the Hospital Information System (Epic).
  • Crafting clear, concise, and grammatically correct notes in the Hospital Information System (Epic) to maintain comprehensive records.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Experience with Epic software.
  • Background in reviewing and processing patient overpayments and refunds.
  • Knowledge of self-pay collections.
