Position: Accuracy Control Engineer

Job Overview:
As an Accuracy Control Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of the company's Accuracy Control Management (ACM) program across various production contracts. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing and interpreting Accuracy Control data to enhance the precision of constructed assemblies and drive process improvements.

Core Duties:
  • Manage the deployment of the ACM program within production for relevant contracts.
  • Analyze collected Accuracy Control data, serving as a specialist in specific technical areas.
  • Conduct field surveys utilizing advanced Metrology instruments, compiling and analyzing data to generate comprehensive reports.
  • Provide guidance and training to Accuracy Control Technicians on the use of Metrology instrumentation and analytical software.
  • Supervise a team of Accuracy Control Analysts, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Oversee a budget for operational hours and financial resources.
  • Act as a representative for the company in matters related to dimensional control and assembly alignment.
  • Collaborate closely with Production Managers and Engineering teams to ensure alignment with quality assurance protocols.
  • Work independently while adhering to performance guidelines set by management.

Essential Functions:
  • Participate in the planning and execution of the Safe Hull Construction Monitoring process throughout all construction phases.
  • Collect and document critical data related to Process Control, Shrinkage Control, and Dimensional Control.
  • Develop and maintain Accuracy Control standards and procedures.
  • Conduct special studies to evaluate the accuracy of production processes.
  • Prepare detailed reports on field survey results and ensure timely communication of findings.
  • Comply with all safety protocols and contribute to the development of process control procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in design or Accuracy Control is preferred.
  • Proven expertise in the discipline with specialized knowledge of relevant processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in technical writing and CAD software.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, with a focus on problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with advanced optical alignment equipment and dimensional control techniques.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must possess the ability to perform various physical tasks, including navigating uneven surfaces and confined spaces. Regular exposure to outdoor environments and adherence to safety standards is essential.
