About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist III to join our team at Senior Plc, a leading engineering solutions provider. As a CNC Machinist III, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision metal parts and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including Lathe, Mill, and Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL)
  • Produce precision metal parts and materials with high accuracy and quality
  • Determine dimensions and tolerances of material for machining, and sequence operations required by studying specifications
  • Follow instructions outlined in routers and technical planning documents, and adhere to established specifications
  • Execute complex machining assignments using machine tools, ranging from multiple axis lathes to mills
  • Use precision measuring tools to check accuracy of work
Requirements
  • 4 years of previous CNC machine set up and operation experience
  • Mazak experience preferred
  • Ability to read basic blueprints, drawings, or templates, including dimensional, true position, and circularity call outs
  • Shop mathematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and Feeds and Speed calculations
  • Knowledge of machines, controllers, and tools (Fanuc or Mazak)
  • Ability to control operations of equipment and watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure machine is working properly
  • Ability to set up fixtures properly, including clamping, centering, and indicating of fixture
  • Ability to set up cutting tools and change out inserts for cutting operation
  • Ability to use and understand measuring devices, including calipers, micrometers, and bar gauges
