Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and oversee measurement systems for the analysis of battery components.
  • Apply statistical methods to assess the performance of measurement systems.
  • Advance existing and future measurement systems through innovative feature enhancements.
  • Support production teams by troubleshooting tool issues, providing training, and reducing downtime.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, applied physics, or a related discipline.
  • Practical experience with measurement systems in a laboratory environment.
  • Understanding of mechanical design principles and rapid prototyping techniques.
  • Ability to utilize statistical analysis for informed engineering decisions.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exhibit a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Possess strong communication skills and excel in a collaborative team setting.
  • Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills across multiple projects.
  • Be resourceful in learning new skills and proactive in seeking clarification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in the development of measurement, imaging, or characterization systems.
  • Familiarity with machine shop tools and programming languages such as Python.
  • Knowledge of machine vision software and hardware.
  • Prior experience with AutoDesk Inventor or similar design software.

This position requires responsibilities to be performed at QuantumScape's facilities.

Compensation & Benefits: QuantumScape provides a competitive salary range of $78,000 to $113,100, based on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include annual bonuses, RSU/Equity packages, comprehensive healthcare coverage, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and various other perks.
