Introduction to the Role:

Our light source division, Cymer, located in San Diego, specializes in the creation of both deep ultraviolet (DUV) and next-generation extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light sources. With over 70 locations across 16 countries, our headquarters is situated in Veldhoven, the Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, or opto-mechanical assembly tasks on systems, assemblies, or sub-assemblies.
  • Follow established methods and sequences for wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing.
  • Perform setups and adjustments while adhering to specified tolerances and work instructions.
  • Assemble and validate precision electrical-optical-mechanical units in strict compliance with procedures.
  • Utilize standardized tools and electric equipment, such as torque wrenches and pneumatic screwdrivers, for mechanical assembly.
  • Document data in company databases and conduct standardized inspections/tests throughout the production process.
  • Collaborate with engineers to support special builds and experiments, following detailed instructions.
  • Work with peers and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve issues based on complexity.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure proper care of designated tools.
  • Train colleagues on processes and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in precision assembly is necessary.
  • Experience with precision optical components and ESD is desirable.
  • Familiarity with electronic/pneumatic tools is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential.
  • Experience with electro-optical and/or opto-mechanical systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles is preferred.
