Overview:

The Quality Control Specialist is tasked with ensuring the integrity of incoming and outgoing products through rigorous testing, monitoring of production workflows, and detection of any defects. This role is crucial in guaranteeing that all manufactured goods comply with industry and ISO standards.


Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products under the guidance of the QA Manager, utilizing standard inspection instruments such as microscopes, calipers, and gauges.

  • Document findings on inspection reports and within the business management system and quality assurance software.
  • Oversee production activities to confirm adherence to company and client specifications.
  • Guide assembly modifications to ensure operations align with quality benchmarks.
  • Communicate inspection outcomes and propose corrective actions.
  • Foster positive working relationships with customers and product representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Knowles and AS9100 standards while pursuing continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of industry products and processes.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to operate measuring instruments such as microscopes, gauges, meters, and computers.
  • Accurate typing skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for multitasking.
  • Ability to generate written reports for discrepancies in nonconforming materials.
  • Demonstrated follow-up skills with various departments and teams.
All candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without restrictions related to ITAR documentation and materials. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, refugees, or asylees. Security clearance application will be required upon hire.

Knowles is dedicated to offering a competitive and equitable total compensation package for all employees. The starting hourly base pay for this role is targeted to be between $19.00 to $22.00. Individual compensation decisions are influenced by various factors, including prior experience and skills, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company.
