IT Support Technician Job Description

At Santa Monica Seafood Company, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Technician to join our small but talented IT team. As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing end-user computer support and business systems support for our family-owned, mid-size seafood distribution and retail company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving issues with Microsoft 365, Windows 11, and Intune.
  • Manage on-site systems, including hardware and software configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Respond to and resolve end-user IT support requests and assigned project tasks using ITIL process and ITSM system.
  • Update and create documentation, including setup and configuration guides.
  • Configure and troubleshoot hardware and software, including endpoint devices and wireless RF technologies.
  • Interact with non-technical business users to solve technical and business challenges related to their computer systems.
  • Manage warehouse equipment, including handheld computers and label printers.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience working with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory environments.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise cloud-based RMM, MDM, and Intune tools.
  • Hands-on experience managing requests using cloud-based ticketing and ITSM systems.
  • Hands-on experience working in a Windows-based environment, troubleshooting issues with end-users.
  • Office 365 Application Suite Experience (OneDrive, PowerBI, Teams, SharePoint, MFA Setup).
  • Hands-on experience working with printers and copiers.
  • Comfortable working in a cold, wet environment, with the ability to wear PPE and troubleshoot issues on the production floor.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision, with flexibility and discretion.
  • Attention to detail and ability to take notes when discussing issues or training on new processes or technologies.
  • Able to follow instructions and clearly document work performed and communicate clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience working with ERP in food service, distribution, or retail environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Industrial Smart Devices, including Bizerba.
  • AWS, Cisco, CompTIA, Google, ITILv4, Microsoft, or other IT Certifications.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Familiarity with Wireless RF Technologies and Warehouse Systems Hardware.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
