Position Overview: This role operates under general supervision and adheres to established protocols to gather all necessary information to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial and patient-related databases within the Medical Centers. The incumbent routinely offers guidance and education to patients, families, or designated representatives regarding financial obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and review physician orders for laboratory services, ensuring proper documentation of verbal and written requests for ancillary testing to facilitate accurate testing and billing for services provided.
  • Conduct all facets of admissions and registrations throughout the medical center as outlined in the procedures.
  • Maintain and effectively monitor all aspects of census, bed, and unit assignments.
  • Provide Administrative Associate B Services during the third shift for Emergency Department Nursing.
  • Ensure accurate and timely selection and retrieval of Medical Records and Cardiology reports to expedite patient evaluation and treatment.
  • Transmit appropriate and requested medical documentation to other acute care facilities to promote positive outcomes and continuity of care.

Qualifications: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Proficiency in computer operations is essential. Previous experience in a hospital or physician's office setting is preferred.

Experience: A background of 3-4 years in a similar role is required.
