Job Summary:

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for verifying and processing payroll transactions, including recording and reporting of payroll expenditures for active employees and retirees. You will also be responsible for receiving and analyzing incoming court orders, levies, or writs of attachment issued to garnish or levy District employees' wages for child support, unpaid taxes, unpaid civil debts, or any debts owed to the District of Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:

* Verify and process payroll transactions, including recording and reporting of payroll expenditures for active employees and retirees
* Receive and analyze incoming court orders, levies, or writs of attachment issued to garnish or levy District employees' wages for child support, unpaid taxes, unpaid civil debts, or any debts owed to the District of Columbia
* Input deductions and any other data into automated accounting system (Peoplesoft) and the automated financial system (DIFS) to ensure proper recording
* Review output reports to ensure large amounts of data being entered is processed accurately

Requirements:

* A Bachelor's degree or (2) two years of general work experience performing duties related to providing administrative, clerical, and/or financial support
* Ability to review output reports to ensure large amounts of data being entered is processed accurately
* Knowledge of Federal and District laws governing wage and hour, policies, and procedures related to payroll operations pertaining to time and attendance, deductions, adjustments, garnishments, and net payroll
