Position: Sales Support Specialist

OVERVIEW

The Sales Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting the Sales Department by executing daily responsibilities that align with the department's strategic objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and their guests, managing both direct and third-party bookings effectively.
  • Ensure the visibility and integrity of our department across the organization, fostering collaboration to guarantee that our clients receive the promised services.
  • Cultivate long-lasting and trustworthy relationships with our accounts.
  • Support sales initiatives within the Sales Office, providing client service and acting as an internal sales contact, particularly in the absence of the sales representative.
  • Assist in organizing travel arrangements and preparing for trade shows.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Prior experience as a Sales Support Specialist in a luxury or upscale hotel environment.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • At least two years of customer service experience within the hospitality sector.
  • Proficiency in the primary language(s) utilized in the workplace is essential.
  • Strong reading and writing skills to facilitate effective communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to independently address customer needs and resolve issues.
  • Proven ability to set and achieve goals.
  • Skill in identifying and nurturing account development opportunities.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computational skills are required.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including accounting software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi.
  • Experience with Delphi for tracking notes and account entries from trade shows and phone interactions.
  • Mathematical skills and budget analysis capabilities are necessary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Most tasks are performed indoors at a desk with a controlled environment. The role requires the ability to sit for extended periods, with walking and standing necessary for the remainder of the workday. This may involve traveling to meetings, with varying lengths of tasks daily. The ability to reach other departments promptly is essential, and occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs may be required. Tasks involve grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and visual acuity. Continuous communication with guests, supervisors, and team members is integral to the role.
