ICF is seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Specialist to enhance our testing capabilities and maintain existing frameworks. This role demands exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, resilience, and innovative thinking. The selected candidate will collaborate with our component, integration, internal development teams, and Business Analysts to evaluate, construct, and sustain testing frameworks and suites throughout all testing phases. Additionally, the individual will engage with our business, development, and testing teams to assess, develop, and uphold processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and interpret business requirements to formulate comprehensive and structured testing strategies and test cases.
  • Create and develop test scenarios and scripts to address both business and technical use cases.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated scripts utilizing our testing automation framework.
  • Facilitate automated functional testing by our testing team, concentrating on application workflows and validation of testing outcomes.
  • Conduct both manual and automated testing, which may encompass exploratory, system, regression, compatibility, and integration testing.
  • Collaborate directly with the Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and Data Engineering teams to ensure thorough testing of all work.
  • Effectively communicate across various teams and external vendors (Operations, Quality Service, etc.), as well as with diverse personnel (Developers, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, etc.).
  • Participate in relevant Agile ceremonies: Daily Stand-Ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Analyze data and application modifications and document their effects on performance automation tasks (test cases, scripting, scenario execution, etc.).
  • Ensure that test execution results meet the established testing objectives.
  • Interact directly with the DevOps and Infrastructure teams regarding functional testing environments.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates on testing events, daily status, and test execution results.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of experience with Cypress.
  • 5+ years of experience in test automation development.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance; must reside in the US and be authorized to work in the US.

Professional Skills:

  • Proficient in designing, architecting, building, programming, testing, and deploying solutions using Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to optimize code/scripts adhering to industry best practices and standards.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong hands-on skills in SQL development; capable of creating ad-hoc queries to meet business requirements.
  • Excellent self-organization and self-management skills, emphasizing self-initiation and follow-through.
  • Demonstrated experience in functional testing, including test analysis.

This position mandates that the job be performed in the United States. ICF monitors employee work locations and restricts access from foreign locations and foreign IP addresses.

Compensation Information - Various factors are considered in determining final pay for a position, including relevant work experience, skills, certifications, competencies, geographic location, education, and contract provisions specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$63,000 - $107,968.00
