ICF is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to enhance our testing capabilities and maintain our existing frameworks. This role demands exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a blend of creativity and persistence. The selected candidate will collaborate with our component, integration, internal development, and Business Analysts teams to evaluate, construct, and sustain testing frameworks and suites throughout all testing phases. Additionally, the individual will partner with our business, development, and testing teams to scrutinize, develop, and uphold processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and interpret business requirements to formulate comprehensive and structured testing strategies and test cases.
  • Create and design test conditions and scripts to address both business and technical scenarios.
  • Develop and execute automated scripts utilizing our testing automation framework.
  • Facilitate automated functional testing by our testing team, concentrating on application workflows and validating test outcomes.
  • Conduct both manual and automated testing, which may encompass exploratory, system, regression, compatibility, and integration testing.
  • Collaborate directly with the Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and Data Engineering teams to ensure thorough testing of all work.
  • Effectively communicate across various teams and external vendors (Operations, Quality Service, etc.), as well as with different personnel (Developers, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, etc.).
  • Engage in relevant Agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand-Ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Analyze data and application modifications and document their implications on performance automation tasks (test cases, scripting, scenario execution, etc.).
  • Ensure that test execution results meet the established testing objectives.
  • Interact directly with the DevOps and Infrastructure teams regarding functional testing environments.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates on testing events, daily status, and test execution results.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Over 4 years of experience in test automation development (e.g., Ruby, Playwright, JS, Python, Selenium).
  • More than 4 years of experience in Frontend, Backend, and API testing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Must reside in the U.S. and be authorized to work in the U.S.; all work must be performed in the U.S.
  • Must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years.

  • Capability to design, architect, build, program, test, and deploy solutions using Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in optimizing code/scripts following industry best practices and standards.
  • Aptitude for thriving in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong hands-on skills in SQL development; ability to create ad-hoc queries to fulfill business requirements.
  • Excellent self-organization and self-management skills, emphasizing self-initiation and follow-through.
  • Demonstrated experience in functional testing, including test analysis.
