Position Overview

Securiport LLC, a leading technology firm, is focused on developing and implementing advanced biometric recognition systems, immigration processing solutions, and comprehensive information management systems. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will report directly to the Director of Product Services and play a crucial role in overseeing the quality assurance lifecycle for our software products. Your responsibilities will encompass all stages of the software development lifecycle, ensuring that the products meet the highest standards of quality and functionality. You will collaborate closely with the QA Team and software developers to implement effective quality assurance practices and contribute to test design and execution.

This role will involve working within a hybrid Agile/Waterfall framework, with a strong emphasis on Agile methodologies. Proficiency in testing both web-based and desktop applications is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the development team to conduct comprehensive testing of all system components, including UI, API, and database, covering functional, performance, and regression testing.
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on requirements, design documents, and user stories, ensuring clarity and completeness.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Identify, document, and manage defects and issues throughout the testing process.
  • Contribute to the technical writing of user and administrator documentation.
  • Implement test automation strategies to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications
Required Skills:
  • Extensive experience in quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and delivery.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in testing thick-client, web client, and web services applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
  • Proficient in creating user and administrator documentation.
  • Some experience with test automation tools such as NUnit, SonarQube, Selenium, HP Quality Center, Ranorex, and/or MS Visual Studio Team Services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence and MS Team Foundation Services.
  • Basic programming or scripting knowledge, particularly in Java or C#.
  • Experience with quality assurance in commercial cloud environments (e.g., Azure, Amazon AWS).

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution. QA certifications are preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance is required.

Other: Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Local candidates are preferred.
