Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Quality Assurance Engineer. In this capacity, you will be tasked with ensuring the integrity and performance of various applications through thorough testing and automation practices. Collaboration across teams is essential, and familiarity with tools such as Jira and Xray is required, along with skills in Confluence, Unix, SQL, effective communication, and a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Compensation Range: $80,000 - $125,000 - Salary is based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and location.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports based on business specifications.
  2. Create automated test scripts.
  3. Conduct test automation utilizing tools such as Selenium and Xray.
  4. Execute functional testing across various business components, modules, and features.
  5. Engage in additional testing types including system, regression, and integration testing.
  6. Ensure user expectations are met throughout the testing lifecycle.
  7. Review and interpret user requirement documents within tools like JIRA.
  8. Identify and facilitate resolution of issues with both functional and technical teams.
  9. Document the entire quality assurance testing process using test management tools such as Xray and Jira, and consistently communicate test outcomes to the team.
  10. Collaborate with other functional and non-functional testers, project managers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders throughout the testing phases.
  11. Participate in user story review meetings, project synchronization meetings, and other necessary discussions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Security Clearance: Top-Secret security clearance, fully adjudicated.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Tools and Technologies:
    • Proficient in Test Automation, with experience in tools like Selenium and Xray for test management.
    • Skilled in API Testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, and SoapUI.
    • Experienced with Git for version control.
    • Proficient in JIRA for requirement tracking and defect reporting.
    • Basic understanding of UNIX command-line operations and SQL for database validation.
    • Familiar with CI/CD integration, including tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
    • Knowledge of foundational web technologies: HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
    • Familiarity with Performance Testing Tools, including JMeter.
    • Experience in Cross-Browser Testing to ensure compatibility across different browsers.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, and SharePoint).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities for debugging.
  • Education: Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Self-motivated, customer-oriented, and detail-focused with an emphasis on accuracy.
  • Experience in Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, along with project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with DoD systems, demonstrating familiarity with defense-related projects and security protocols.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Knowledge of Personnel Security is advantageous.
  • Certifications: Security + CE preferred.
