Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced FPGA Engineering Lead to oversee the design and development of advanced FPGA solutions for our innovative Lidar products. This role requires a deep understanding of FPGA technologies and the ability to lead a team in delivering high-quality designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of FPGA architectures and implementations for Lidar systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices in FPGA design.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of FPGA designs to meet performance metrics.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in FPGA development, including proficiency in HDL coding, simulation, and synthesis.
  • Strong knowledge of safety concepts and standards such as ISO 26262 and ASIL-B.
  • Expertise in RTL development using Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, TCL, Perl, or bash.
  • Experience with embedded systems in CPU and FPGA environments, particularly with Xilinx Zynq or Client Arria devices.
  • Proficient in using Xilinx and/or Client FPGA toolchains.
  • Experience implementing DSP algorithms in FPGA architectures.
  • Knowledge of processor architectures and communication protocols including DDR4, AXI, I2C, UART, SPI, and Ethernet.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with High-Level Synthesis (HLS) methodologies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly git.
  • Proficiency in C or C++ programming languages.
  • Knowledge of verification methodologies such as UVM.
