Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced FPGA Engineering Lead to oversee and guide our FPGA development initiatives within the realm of Lidar technology. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful design and implementation of FPGA solutions that meet our high standards of performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of FPGA architectures and designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA solutions into our Lidar systems.
  • Conduct thorough simulations and testing to validate FPGA designs and ensure timing closure.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers in HDL coding and design practices.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in FPGA development, including proficiency in HDL coding, simulation, and synthesis.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards such as ISO 26262 and ASIL-B.
  • Expertise in RTL development using Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Proficient in scripting languages including Python, TCL, Perl, and bash.
  • Experience with embedded systems in CPU and FPGA-based devices, particularly Xilinx Zynq or Client Arria.
  • Familiarity with Xilinx and/or Client FPGA toolchains.
  • Knowledge of DSP algorithm implementations in FPGA environments.
  • Understanding of processor architectures and communication protocols such as DDR4, AXI, I2C, UART, SPI, and Ethernet.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with High-Level Synthesis (HLS) methodologies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly git.
  • Proficiency in C or C++ programming languages.
  • Knowledge of verification methodologies such as UVM.
