Position Summary: We are in search of a Senior FPGA/ASIC Design & Verification Engineer specializing in digital hardware. As a vital member of the Firmware team, you will spearhead initiatives to achieve FPGA functional safety certification in accordance with the ISO26262 / ASIL-B standards. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, technically proficient individual with a solid history in FPGA/ASIC design processes and experience in embedded software development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety analyses of FPGA subsystems.
- Create and manage functional safety documentation, including V model requirements and FMEDA analysis.
- Define, develop, and integrate features across our FPGA stack with an emphasis on functional safety and reliability.
- Enhance and enforce FPGA development processes to meet functional safety requirements.
- Engage in FPGA development tasks, including RTL design, simulation, high-speed digital design, DSP algorithm development, verification, synthesis, and timing analysis.
- Perform hands-on laboratory work for board bring-up and troubleshooting.
- Develop automation scripts for repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in FPGA development, encompassing HDL code development, simulation, test bench development, synthesis, and timing closure.
- Familiarity with safety concepts and standards such as ISO 26262, ASIL-B, or equivalent.
- Expertise in RTL development using Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, TCL, Perl, or bash.
- Experience in embedded system development for CPU and FPGA-based devices, including Xilinx Zynq or Intel Arria.
- Familiarity with Xilinx and/or Intel FPGA toolchains.
- Experience implementing DSP algorithms in FPGAs.
- Knowledge of processor architectures and various communication protocols, including DDR4, AXI, I2C, UART, SPI, and Ethernet.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with High-Level Synthesis (HLS).
- Proficient in version control technologies such as Git.
- Strong programming skills in C or C++.
- Familiarity with leading verification methodologies like UVM.
