Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Real Estate Financial Analyst to become a vital part of our Real Estate division. This position is centered around managing and analyzing budgetary aspects within the real estate sector. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical capabilities, a keen eye for detail, and strong communication skills to engage effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis:
    Conduct thorough evaluations of project timelines, budgets, and schedules to identify and implement more efficient processes.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations detailing reinvestment opportunities and budget performance, highlighting essential metrics and variances.
  • Analyze construction costs by trade, design materials, geographical areas, and square footage, while monitoring spending trends across different segments.
  • Perform post-project cost assessments to track change order trends across various project types.
Budget Development & Oversight:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop comprehensive budgets for all departmental needs.
  • Monitor actual expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and identify any discrepancies.
  • Address budget overruns or unexpected expenses in a timely manner with relevant teams.
Collaboration:
  • Engage with stakeholders to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing budgeting processes and improving overall efficiency.
  • Support presentation requirements and oversee the implementation of improved reporting mechanisms for the department.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, construction management, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in budgeting, cost management, or financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software tools (PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle Essbase, or similar). Knowledge of Coupa is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work with complex financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a positive approach to addressing financial challenges.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Work Environment:
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, and reaching daily.
  • Able to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Utilize visual acuity, speech, hearing, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity required for office equipment operation.
  • Standard working hours of 40 hours per week, with flexibility as workload dictates.
