Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Real Estate & Construction Budget Analyst to enhance our Real Estate division at Tailored Shared Services. This position is pivotal in managing budgetary and expense assessments within the real estate sector. The successful candidate will exhibit strong analytical capabilities, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills to engage effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis:
  • Analyze project timelines, budgets, and schedules to recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Create regular reports and presentations on budget performance and reinvestment opportunities, highlighting critical metrics and variances.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of construction costs by trade, design materials, geographical areas, and square footage, while analyzing spending trends across different segments.
  • Perform post-project cost evaluations to monitor change order trends across various project types.
  • Budget Development & Monitoring:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate comprehensive budgets for all departmental needs.
  • Track actual expenditures to ensure adherence to approved budgets and identify any discrepancies.
  • Address budget overruns or unexpected expenses in a timely manner with relevant teams.
  • Collaboration:
  • Engage with stakeholders to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing budgeting processes and increasing efficiency.
  • Support presentation requirements and oversee the implementation of improved reporting for the department.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, construction management, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in budgeting, cost management, or financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with expertise in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools (e.g., PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle Essbase). Familiarity with Coupa is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and capability to manage complex financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to addressing financial challenges effectively.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Work Environment:
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and reaching.
