Job Summary

The Regional Commercial Banking Relationship Manager is responsible for serving as a trusted business advisor to clients and providing a full breadth of banking solutions to meet their financial objectives and needs. This role involves establishing a network of referral sources and Centers of Influence through regular calling efforts to generate new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of relationships, ensuring an exceptional client experience while appropriately managing risk, credit quality, servicing, and other key aspects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and expanding existing commercial banking relationships
  • Prospecting actively and successfully bringing in new relationships to Northwest Bank
  • Engaging with product partners to discuss cross-selling opportunities and referrals to expand and deepen client relationships
  • Achieving and exceeding budget goals as assigned individually and by region
  • Actively participating in community and professional networking events
  • Developing meaningful Centers of Influence relationships
  • Establishing and maintaining an ongoing prospect list and calling and meeting schedule for prospects, existing clients, and COIs
  • Encouraging existing clients to provide ongoing referrals for all types of products and services
  • Managing a commercial loan portfolio of both credit and non-credit clients
  • Making loan presentations and recommendations to Credit, team leaders, and senior line of business managers as required
  • Partnering with credit and portfolio management to ensure annual reviews and line of credit renewals are completed on a timely basis
  • Ensuring non-credit clients have appropriate treasury management and other related commercial services, and risk ratings are appropriate
  • Collecting on delinquent accounts as required
  • Analyzing financial statements and related credit material to stay apprised of client performance and assess risk on a continuous basis in conjunction with Portfolio Management
  • Completing loan closings in partnership with Portfolio Management
  • Ensuring all credit files include current financial statements, agency reports, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Marketing
  • 8 years of account relationship management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of C&I lending, loan servicing, and credit and non-credit products
  • Strong negotiating skills in terms of loan structure and pricing
  • Knowledge and understanding of risk management
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize responsibilities
