Member Relations Coordinator

Position Overview: Blue Zones Health, a dedicated Medical Group focused on lifestyle medicine for Medicare and commercial patients, is in search of a proactive and personable Community Engagement Specialist. This remote position emphasizes interaction with current members, following up on leads generated by the Community Activation Representative, and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Member Interaction:
- Conduct surveys with Blue Zones Health members regarding their provider, health plan, enrollment status, and program participation.
- Reach out to leads gathered by the Community Activation Representative.
- Address member inquiries and document conversation summaries in a CRM system.
- Encourage attendance at local events through effective communication and follow-up.
- Coordination and Assistance:
- Collaborate with Social Support and Community Activation teams to provide necessary resources.
- Connect patients with brokers for Medicare Advantage or health insurance enrollment.
- Facilitate three-way calls with health plans and members for IPA modifications.
- Assist members in scheduling appointments with in-network providers at Blue Zones Health.
- Communication:
- Inform Blue Zones Health members about changes in health plans, including plans that are no longer accepted and new plans being introduced.
- Notify patients when their provider is no longer part of the Blue Zones Health network.
- Handle inbound calls from brokers and patients to answer questions and provide basic information about Blue Zones Health and its network.
- Feedback and Reporting:
- Offer valuable insights to the leadership team regarding patient experiences with Blue Zones Health clinicians.
- Accurately document all member interactions and activities in the CRM.
- Report on engagement metrics daily, weekly, and monthly.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in customer service, member engagement, or healthcare support roles.
- Experience with Medicare and commercial healthcare plans is highly desirable.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with members.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Empathy and a strong commitment to enhancing patient experiences.
