Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and management to streamline the intake process for personal injury cases within our matter management system.
  • Guarantee the accurate and prompt entry of case-specific details, including monitoring deadlines, updates, and settlement information.
  • Disseminate incoming litigation correspondence, including service of process, to the relevant team members.
  • Maintain and organize detailed litigation files, encompassing pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and related correspondence.
  • Issue and oversee legal holds to ensure adherence to preservation requirements for all insurance litigation cases.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to existing processes and practices within the Insurance Litigation team.
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of new workflows and systems aimed at improving team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Schedule and coordinate depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Manage the onboarding process for external payees and vendors involved in litigation matters.
  • Oversee the processing of settlement checks and other financial elements related to legal cases.
  • Regularly update and maintain the matter management system to accurately reflect current case statuses and milestones.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and summaries regarding case progress, deadlines, and settlement information for internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with in-house legal teams, including paralegals and attorneys, to ensure seamless coordination of litigation efforts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, both internally and externally, to support the successful resolution of litigation matters.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and sensitivity in managing legal documents and communications.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in all actions and processes.
  • Actively participate in fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment within the Insurance Litigation team.
