Position Overview:
As a Resident Physician, you will deliver medical care to patients, facilitating their recovery from acute conditions while managing chronic health issues.
This role is designated for Residents who have been officially accepted into our graduate medical education programs for the current academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient health by gathering comprehensive medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and reviewing existing medical records.
- Request necessary laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging to assess patient conditions.
- Analyze and synthesize clinical data to establish accurate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans.
- Collaborate with fellow physicians and medical specialists in line with established protocols to ensure optimal patient care.
- Document all relevant patient information, including symptoms, findings, assessments, and treatment plans in the medical record.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, testing procedures, treatment options, expected outcomes, and preventive measures.
- Monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans by reviewing diagnostic results and scheduling follow-up appointments as needed.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to physician assistants, nursing staff, and interns regarding patient care practices.
- Ensure high levels of satisfaction among both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the financial sustainability of the practice while contributing to the achievement of organizational goals.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to advance the mission of the practice.
- Adhere to all compliance requirements associated with the role.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of three years required; prior experience as a staff physician is preferred.
