Position Overview:
Nuvance Health operates a comprehensive network of healthcare facilities, including hospitals and outpatient centers, alongside various primary and specialty care practices. Our mission is to deliver exceptional medical services while fostering patient recovery and managing chronic conditions.
Role Summary:
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide high-quality medical care to patients, facilitating their recovery from acute health issues and mitigating the impact of chronic diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients by gathering complete medical histories, performing physical examinations, and reviewing existing medical records.
- Order necessary laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging to accurately evaluate patient conditions.
- Analyze and synthesize clinical data to establish precise diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans.
- Collaborate with fellow physicians and medical specialists to ensure adherence to established medical standards and enhance patient satisfaction.
- Document all clinical findings, assessments, treatment plans, and relevant information in patient records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, expected outcomes, and preventive measures.
- Monitor treatment effectiveness by reviewing diagnostic results and following up with patients as needed to ensure optimal care.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to physician assistants, nursing staff, and interns in relation to patient care.
- Strive to meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a high level of service.
- Support the financial health of the practice by promoting fiscal responsibility and achieving financial objectives.
- Engage in organizational initiatives aimed at continuous quality improvement in alignment with the practice's mission.
- Adhere to all compliance regulations pertinent to the role.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required: Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
Desired: Previous experience as a staff physician.
Education:
Essential: Doctorate in Medicine (Professional).
Working Conditions:
- Some manual dexterity and coordination required.
- Potential exposure to occupational hazards.
- Ability to exert moderate to heavy physical effort.
- Possible exposure to various environmental factors.
