Position Overview:
This role is designated for Residents who have been officially accepted into our graduate medical education programs for the current academic year. The primary objective is to deliver exceptional medical care to patients, aiding in their recovery from acute conditions and managing chronic health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients by gathering complete medical histories, obtaining physical examination data, and reviewing existing medical records.
- Order necessary laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures to accurately evaluate health conditions.
- Analyze and synthesize data to formulate appropriate diagnoses and therapeutic plans.
- Collaborate with fellow physicians and medical specialists in line with established policies and medical standards to ensure optimal patient care.
- Document all findings, assessments, treatment plans, and relevant information in patient charts, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, testing procedures, treatment options, expected outcomes, and preventive measures.
- Monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans by reviewing diagnostic results and facilitating follow-up visits as needed.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to physician assistants, nursing staff, and interns regarding patient care practices.
- Ensure high levels of satisfaction among both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the financial sustainability of the practice and contribute to achieving financial objectives.
- Engage in organizational initiatives aimed at enhancing quality improvement across the practice.
- Adhere to all compliance requirements associated with the position.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum of three years of relevant experience. Prior experience as a staff physician is preferred.
