Position Overview:
Nuvance Health operates a comprehensive network of healthcare facilities, including hospitals and outpatient centers, alongside various primary and specialty care practices. Our mission is to deliver exceptional medical services across our locations.
Role Summary:
The primary objective of this role is to deliver high-quality medical care to patients, aiding in their recovery from acute conditions while effectively managing chronic health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients by gathering detailed medical histories, performing physical examinations, and reviewing existing medical records.
- Request necessary laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging to facilitate accurate evaluations of patient conditions.
- Analyze and synthesize clinical data to formulate appropriate diagnoses and treatment strategies.
- Collaborate with fellow physicians and medical specialists in line with established clinical protocols to ensure optimal patient care.
- Document all clinical findings, assessments, treatment plans, and relevant information in patient records, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, expected outcomes, and preventive measures.
- Monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans by reviewing diagnostic results and following up with patients as needed.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to physician assistants, nursing staff, and interns regarding patient care practices.
- Ensure a high level of satisfaction among both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the financial health of the practice by contributing to its fiscal goals.
- Engage in organizational activities aimed at enhancing the quality of care and achieving institutional objectives.
- Adhere to all compliance standards related to the position.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required: Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
Desired: Previous experience in a staff physician role.
Education:
Essential: Doctorate in Medicine.
Working Conditions:
Essential: This role requires manual dexterity, moderate physical effort, and exposure to various environmental factors.
