Detailed Job Description

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an experienced Program Director to join our team at the YMCA of Southern Maine's Greater Portland Branch. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership and management experience, as well as relevant certifications in lifeguarding, CPR, and swim instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of staff to deliver high-quality services and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with YMCA protocols and policies.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to drive program growth and engagement.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to promote the YMCA's mission and values.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Relevant certifications, including lifeguard, CPR, and swim instruction.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in software systems and detail-oriented approach.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.

Salary: $60,000 - $62,000 (dependent on experience)
