Position Summary:
We are in search of a proficient Innovation Engineer to contribute to our engineering initiatives. Utilize your expertise in engineering design and project management, combined with your manufacturing knowledge, to pioneer advanced processes and equipment.

This role involves engagement in various projects, both large and small, providing an opportunity to significantly influence our global operations and foster professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
This engineer will oversee the conception, design, installation, and commissioning of production and process equipment across our global manufacturing facilities. Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in design and project engineering, focusing on the development and enhancement of process equipment within extrusion and converting production lines. Responsibilities may also encompass modifications and upgrades to existing machinery, with international travel required.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Innovative problem-solving utilizing cutting-edge technologies to transform existing processes and develop new products, ensuring our leadership in the market.
  • Design of electromechanical machines leveraging knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial controls to create efficient, high-quality production equipment.
  • Project management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, budget, and timelines, executing projects that surpass customer expectations.
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, EH&S, management, internal stakeholders, and suppliers, to ensure cost-effective solutions that meet design specifications.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with internal manufacturing teams, product development resources, external suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Apply robust technical skills across all project phases, including planning, solution development, equipment specification, design, and commissioning.
  • Identify and assess new technologies for integration into existing processes to enhance yield, increase throughput, and reduce costs.
  • Document design intent and develop contingency plans to mitigate project risks.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • At least 5 years of experience in machine design and project engineering.
  • Proven ability to effectively apply technical and project management skills to successfully manage multiple projects.
  • Preference for candidates with a combination of mechanical and electrical engineering expertise.
  • Experience with servo motion control and robotics is highly desirable.
  • Electrical engineers should possess a strong understanding of HMI, PLC, Servo Drives, VFDs, Industrial Networks, and Temperature Control Systems, with Rockwell hardware and software experience preferred.
  • Mechanical engineers should demonstrate strong 3D design capabilities and familiarity with engineering tools such as SolidWorks, Matlab, FEA / CFD Simulation, etc. A PE license is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
  • Experience in manufacturing, plastic packaging, or extrusion is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating initiative and a results-driven approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • A valid driver's license and passport are required.
