Job DescriptionRollstock Extrusion - C Shift
The Team Quality Lead will be responsible for assisting in the directing of established quality standards for the production of semi-finished or finished goods of the process center by ensuring those standards are met. This function will interact with the other process centers to ensure communication of quality issues and resolution of those issues. The position will also be responsible for leading projects to modify and improve quality initiatives to reduce customer returns and internal spoilage by communicating and enhancing the Quality System.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate with the team regarding spoilage, impound reports, customer returns and audit results.
Participate in customer return investigations to assign root cause and corrective actions.
Participate in various quality related audits.
Ensure understanding and compliance with the quality system, and suggest improvements to the system.
Lead quality improvement projects and 5-whys/RCA from quality missed standards KPIs.
Work within the team and with other process areas to communicate quality issues with incoming materials.
Effectively communicate with team members on incoming and outgoing shifts regarding quality issues and other issues that affect quality (machine, material, service, etc.)
Participate in improvement projects that impact quality.
Work with others to make quality decisions on questionable material.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Function as a key communicator which includes both internal and external communications regarding critical issues impacting the department's performance.
QualificationsEducation:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of Quality Principles
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Google Mail, etc)
- Flexible work schedule based upon project demands as needed.
