Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the estimation process for electrical projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize advanced estimating software such as Accubid and Conest to generate precise cost analyses.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of blueprints and project specifications to identify potential challenges and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to develop comprehensive project timelines and labor hour assessments.
  • Prepare and submit formal Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify project requirements.
  • Maintain a high level of organization throughout the estimating process to facilitate clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Provide detailed breakdowns of costs, including labor, materials, and equipment, ensuring transparency in pricing.
  • Stay updated on the National Electrical Code and its implications for project execution.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical estimation.
  • Proficiency in Accubid and Conest estimating software, with at least 5-10 years of hands-on experience.
  • Strong understanding of Bluebeam software and online takeoff processes.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects, including hospital renovations and heavy commercial work.
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Additional Skills:

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities with executive management.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Procore.
  • Knowledge of design-build concepts and value engineering options.
