Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator with a robust background in commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience and a proven track record in the estimation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in the role of Electrical Estimator.
  • Evaluate years of experience on an individual basis.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Accubid and Conest Estimating Software for at least 5-10 years.
  • Effectively manage On-Screen Takeoff processes.
  • Exhibit knowledge of Accubid Estimating Software and Conest Intellibid Software functionalities.
  • Utilize Bluebeam Software competently.
  • Be familiar with Online Takeoff methods in lieu of traditional printed plans.
  • Possess the ability to breakdown and provide detailed pricing and alternative pricing formats using Accubid and Conest.
  • Understand project man-loading concepts based on project requirements.
  • Assess and quantify labor hours related to project plans versus Accubid takeoff.
  • Determine and evaluate costs associated with all items subject to quotation.
  • Review and analyze blueprints for accuracy and installation standards.
  • Submit formal Requests for Information (RFIs) with precise technical details.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the National Electrical Code, both nationally and locally.
  • Time Management:
  • Implement effective time management strategies throughout the estimating process.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency regarding timelines and project schedules.
  • Exhibit a high level of organization in estimates to ensure clarity and understanding.
  • Be prepared to explain estimates to senior management and project teams.
  • Incorporate pre-construction and prefabrication concepts into estimates.
  • Coordinate and communicate all aspects of the estimating process with executive management.
  • Be proficient in software applications such as Excel, Word, Procore, and Bluebeam.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with hospital renovations and ground-up projects.
  • A strong background in heavy commercial and industrial work.
  • Experience with large retail and warehousing commercial projects.
  • Knowledge of design-build principles and value engineering options.
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code as it relates to blueprints and takeoffs.
