The Logistics Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the overarching Global Supply Chain strategy alongside Global Category Managers. This position is responsible for crafting and implementing strategic supply chain initiatives, leading enhancement projects with select vendors, capitalizing on cost-saving opportunities to bolster profitability, and mitigating risks within the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to the terms and conditions outlined in purchase orders and related agreements.
  • Keep pricing and payment terms current across various categories.
  • Promote compliance with corporate policies and legal standards.
  • Address nonconformance issues, back-charges, and claims to minimize potential risks to the company.
  • Identify risk factors within the supply chain and implement suitable mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate across departments to fulfill internal customer requirements.
  • Create supplier expenditure reports to pinpoint areas for improvement and enhance value for the organization.
  • Gain proficiency in Supply Chain SAP functionalities and processes.
  • Maintain accurate master data within the Supply Chain function.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance total cost of ownership.
  • Coordinate and execute project plans with Category Managers to resource and launch products with suppliers.
  • Implement design changes in sourcing to enhance operational reliability and reduce expenses.
  • Collaborate with operations and business teams to optimize sourcing points and shipping logistics.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to maximize value throughout the supply chain and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate the identification, onboarding, and development of new suppliers.
  • Participate directly with suppliers during new product launches and PPAP processes.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all categories and product lines within the organization.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in roles such as buyer-planner, customer service manager, or applications engineer.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong supplier interaction capabilities.
  • Proven track record as an inclusive leader driving cross-functional projects and building collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Customer-focused, responsive, and proactive attitude.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Effective problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Clear and logical thinker, capable of supporting projects while maintaining timelines.
  • Six Sigma training or equivalent Quality certification is advantageous.
