Job Title: Senior Drug Development Director

At ICON Clinical Research, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Drug Development Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the high-level plans and progress of our teams, managing projects from pre-clinical stages through to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Develop and implement project plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and overseeing the execution of projects from pre-clinical stages through to commercialization.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage cross-functional teams, fostering high team performance and promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Communication: Communicate project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations to stakeholders, ensuring effective governance and decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish effective project communications and manage changes towards common goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement methods and frameworks for quality decision-making to support operational excellence in drug development projects and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Education: Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a health-related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in drug development across various phases and disease areas, with at least 5 years of program management experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech setting.
  • Skills: Solid project management skills, broad exposure to the pharmaceutical R&D process, and advanced planning experience with MS Project. PMP certification is a plus.
