Senior Development Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Director to join our team at the American Heart Association. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the planning, organization, and execution of our fundraising campaigns, including the Gala Heart Ball and Go Red for Women events.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of staff to achieve annual revenue goals for the Baltimore market
- Engage and mobilize CEOs, corporate leaders, and community leaders to serve on volunteer leadership committees and chair events
- Develop and lead/monitor budgets for fundraising campaigns and internal business operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement market strategies and build blended sponsorships and relationships with volunteers
- Minimum of five years of experience in corporate sales or fundraising with at least one year of supervising staff with a revenue goal
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor staff to use standard methodologies, timelines, and volunteer engagement practices
- Ability to successfully identify, cultivate, recruit, and maintain relationships with senior-level volunteers/customers
- Validated experience in exceeding sales/fundraising goals
We offer a competitive salary range of $76,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as a robust retirement program with an employer match and automatic contribution. We also offer paid time off, 12 paid holidays, and tuition assistance.
