Job Title: Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor of Media Production and Broadcast

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our faculty as a Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor of Media Production and Broadcast. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching various media courses, supervising student media production practicums, and coordinating the publication of the campus newspaper.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise student media production practicums, including television/streaming shows and newspaper publication
  • Teach media courses, such as Media Production, Critical Media Literacy, and Graphic Design
  • Coordinate the publication of the campus newspaper as part of a practicum
  • Develop and implement curriculum for media courses
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Communication or a related field, with an emphasis on media production and broadcast
  • Doctoral degree in Mass Communication or Communication with a focus on media production or broadcasting preferred
  • College teaching experience and media-industry production experience required
  • Commitment to university service and public outreach
  • Familiarity with a wide range of media production practices and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in advising and mentoring students
  • Experience with media production software and equipment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
